Maria Saridi

Assistant Professor, Department of Nursing, University of Thessaly

Maria Saridi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Nursing of the University of Thessaly, with a specialisation in Clinical Nursing with an emphasis on the care of the chronically ill. She has over 30 years of experience in nursing and two years as a manager of public hospitals in Greece.

She completed her doctoral thesis at the Nursing Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and, in 2019, her postdoctoral research at the Department of Social and Educational Policy of the University of the Peloponnese, with emphasis on public health, health promotion and health education programmes. Her research and interests focus mainly on care and nursing, management, health promotion, and public and community health.

Her work appears in over 150 publications in scientific journals of recognised prestige indexed in international databases, with more than 1,400 citations. She has participated in research on the pharmacoeconomics and cost-effectiveness of obinutuzumab and dupilumab, on diabetes mellitus and asthma, and in BeEmTel, a telecare programme for non-communicable diseases through simulation techniques.
