Christina Karapanou

Health Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist; Certified Medical Trainer

Christina Karapanou, MCI, CIPD, is a Health Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. She studied Psychology at Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest and pursued a Master’s degree in Organizational Psychology at Webster University in Vienna. She obtained her psychotherapy licence after completing a four-year specialisation and certification programme in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at the Centre for Psychotherapy and Counselling.

She received a Behavioral Coaching Master Coach certification from the Behavioral Coaching Institute in Canada, as well as a three-year certification training in Organizational Consulting from the CIPD in the United Kingdom. She completed her studies with a PhD at the University of Sheffield, UK, specialising in Health Psychology and Chronic Disease Management, and is certified by the international organisation MCI as an Accredited Medical Trainer, Health Coach and Burnout Specialist.

For the past 26 years she has worked as an individual and group psychotherapist, business consultant and trainer for healthcare professionals in the management of chronic diseases. Over the last 12 years she has been a trainer in Doctor and Patient Communication and in Palliative Care for two multinational pharmaceutical companies, covering Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.
